Luxury Brand Strategies and Customer Experiences: Design, Fashion, Hospitality, Marketing, Psychology, and Tourism Contributions to Theory and Practice

The 2015 Global Fashion Management Conference (GFMC) will be held at University of Florence, Italy June 25th – 28th, 2015. This year¡¯s conference theme is, ¡°Renaissance of Marketing and Management in Fashion¡± (http://www.kams.org/maine.html). The conference theme emphasizes the need for educators and business leaders to make sense, plan, and interpret outcomes accurately of implementing luxury brand strategies and customer experiences in every corner of the business world. The luxury branding industry is a highly intricate and multi-faceted industry, which in the last decade, has experienced immense growth, and many challenges. The advent of information technology, coupled with a global economy in constant flux, has had a significant impact on consumer perceptions and experiences with luxury brands. In an increasingly volatile and competitive industry, new and innovative brand strategies need to be adopted in order to stay ahead of the competition. The Journal of Business Research (SSCI) invites academics and practitioners to submit papers to this upcoming special issue on ¡®Luxury Brand Strategies and Customer Experiences: Design, Fashion, Hospitality, Marketing, Psychology, and Tourism Contributions to Theory and Practice¡¯.
Topics: Consumer behaviour in fashion; Culture and Media Studies in Fashion; Design Management; Fashion Marketing Management; Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Luxury brand management; Marketing Research in Fashion; New Product Development Management in Fashion; and others.
Submission and Review Process: All submissions, reviewing and notification will be conducted electronically through e-mail. If you do not receive confirmation of your submission within seven days, please contact the guest co-editors mentioned below. Please submit manuscripts in an MS WORD document in Times New Roman 12-font. Submissions should have page numbers and be limited to 20 pages of text in length. References and citations should follow the Journal of Business Research style. Please place all tables and figures at the end of the manuscript (following the references). The manuscripts title page should include the corresponding author¡¯s name, affiliation, mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address. Names and contact information for other authors should be included as well. Submissions will be evaluated by a double-blind review process. Information identifying the submission authors should only be listed on the title page. ONLY selected GFMC conference papers from research reports presented in the 2015 Global Fashion Management Conference at Florence will be considered for this special edition of the Journal of Business Research on Luxury Brand Strategies and Customer Experiences: Design, Fashion, Hospitality, Marketing, Psychology, and Tourism Contributions to Theory and Practice.
