Title Aalto University & GAMMA Joint Symposium in Helsinki 2013

CALL FOR PAPERS

2013 Aalto University-GAMMA Joint Symposium on

Strategic Marketing: Business Model Innovation and Dynamic Capabilities

Extended Submission Deadline: March 15, 2013

Date: April 26th, 2013; Venue: Aalto University School of Business, Helsinki, Finland

One of the key aims in strategic marketing research is to explain the link between marketing and strategy, and their impact on company performance through the creation and capture of customer value. The business model of a company defines how it creates and captures value. According to a 2009-study (Global CEO Study by IBM Institute for Business Value) 98% of companies are reportedly working to modify their existing business models, while seven out of ten companies report being actively engaged in business model innovation.

In the ever-changing and unpredictable world, business model innovation has been suggested as a way for companies to adapt their businesses to technological and structural developments as well as to find ways of delivering value to entirely new markets. Similarly, the dynamic capabilities approach has been put forth as a potential way of explaining how companies can maintain sustainable competitive advantage through restructuring their value creation and capture.

The 2013 Aalto University-GAMMA Joint Symposium ¡°Strategic Marketing: Business Model Innovation and Dynamic Capabilities¡± invites submissions on strategic marketing related topics including, but not limited to:
