Wednesday, October 28, 2009

4-6 pm, Laurel Room

Information for Presenters and Participants

We invite you to participate in the 2009 ITAA-KAMS Symposium ¡°Fashion Marketing Research in a Turbulent Environment¡±. The goal of the Symposium is to enhance/expand international research among scholars from around the world. The Symposium will be structured in two ways to achieve this goal:

  1) The Symposium will use a ¡°Speed Dating¡± presentation format. During the first hour of the Symposium, presenters will give short presentations about their projects. During the second hour, presenters and participants can discuss possible collaborations (e.g., data collection, paper editing, future research).

  2) The Korean Academy of Marketing Sciences has agreed to publish a special issue of the Journal of Global Academy of Marketing Science (JGAMS) with a focus on ¡°Fashion Marketing Research in a Turbulent Environment¡±. Selected papers presented at the 2009 ITAA-KAMS Symposium will be published in this special issue of JGAMS. Papers will include co-authors from Korea and other countries. All of manuscripts must be double-spaced (including figures, tables, notes and references) in 12-point Times Roman font. Submitted papers should be in MSWORD file and less than 6,000 words in length. You can find detailed information about ¡®JGAMS Submission Guideline¡¯ at www.kams.org. Journal of Global Academy of Marketing Science (JGAMS) was ranked as the top marketing journal by KCI impact factor system administered by National Research Foundation of Korean Government. It is the only marketing journal published in English and Chinese. Co-editors for the issue will be Eunju Ko and Leslie Davis Burns.

Therefore, we invite researchers to attend the Symposium, interact with possible collaborators, and volunteer to be a co-author of symposium papers. English-speaking co-authors are particularly needed to assist with English editing or data collection in English-speaking countries. More information about the special issue will be available at the Symposium.

Please send your power point files and full paper to both of symposium co-chairs by Oct. 15, 2009.
