I bring you warm greetings and welcome on behalf of as the Korean Scholars of Marketing Science. I have been serving as the president of the Korean Scholars of Marketing Science since 2019.
The KSMS, as one of the most active research organization, has been focusing on providing a global platform for marketing scholars to share their knowledge and ideas. The KSMS has become the most successful marketing association in Asia, bridging Western and Asian academic scholars, marketing practitioners, and students since 1998.
We have been working hard for the following missions: Globalization, Academic Excellence and Localization. For the globalization, KSMS has organized many Global Marketing Conferences jointly hosted with American Marketing Association, European Marketing Academy, Australian & New Zealand Marketing Academy, Japan Society of Marketing and Distribution, Chinese Marketing Association of Universities and International Textile and Apparel Association since 2008. KSMS also has organized Global Fashion Management Conferences in fashion hubs in Europe jointly hosted with London College of Fashion, University of Florence, University of Vienna, ESCP Business School, and Italian Marketing Association since 2014.
For the academic excellence, KSMS has three official journals such as Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science, Journal of Global Fashion Marketing, and Journal of Global Sport Management. KSMS has published special issues of world class journals such as Journal of Advertising, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Advertising, International Marketing Review, Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, Journal of Brand Management, and Journal of Travel Research, etc..
For the localization, KSMS organizes special seminars on the local marketing issues such as the revitalization of traditional markets and the development of tourism in the cities where our conferences had been held.
Marketing Pioneer Award and KSMS Award are offered by KSMS to companies with excellent marketing practices. Business Ethics Pioneer Award is offered to companies with high standard of business ethics. These awards became our most proud tradition.
KSMS cannot function without its members and therefore the most important part of our organization is all of you. Going forwards we encourage you to participate in a variety of KSMS activities such as its biannual gathering in Global Marketing Conference and Global Fashion Management Conference and annual KSMS International Conference.
